Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were created by Congress to serve the American Dream of homeownership. By the end of the century, they had become extremely profitable and powerful companies, instrumental in putting millions of Americans in their homes. Treasury put Fannie and Freddie into a life-support state known as “conservatorship” to prevent инвестиции для начинающих their failure—and worldwide economic chaos. The two companies, which were always controversial, have become a battleground. Today, Fannie and Freddie are profitable again but still in conservatorship. Their profits are being redirected toward reducing the federal deficit, which leaves them with no buffer should they suffer losses again.
The simple fact is that many revered investment theories and market models are flatly wrong—that is, if we insist that they work in the real world. This book is only 25 pages, so it’s extremely short, but it cuts straight to the chase and tells you what range trading is, why it works, how to select charterprime review buy and sell prices, etc. If you’re interested in range trading, this is a good place to start. My favorite part of this book is the last two chapters, “The Perfect Trading Day” and “The Worst Trading Day”. If you’re serious about being a day trader, this book will get you to think differently.
Market Wizards
The variety of trade secrets and techniques the interviewees shared in this book will tell you that there is no one sure path to making it big in the industry. You would find that many of the successes are about realizing mistakes and pushing forward to break through barriers. It also foretells that similar events cause “significant rises in these markets could lead, eventually, to even more significant declines”. Applying concepts found in this work can be used in what to invest, and to tell whether some investments are in for long-term success or otherwise. This book presents the ideas of indexing in a volatile stock market, combining theory and practice in a smooth-flowing, easy-to-understand delivery. This work’s place in being a sacred text for investors shows in its 640 pages.
The last chapter of the book is called “Three Step Day Trading Plan” and it alone is worth the price of the book. At nearly 500 pages, this is a big beefy book that will take up a lot of space on your desk, but it’s well worth it. It’s one of the few books on this list that takes a deep-dive into the psychological aspect of trading, which is super important because poor trader psychology will often separate the trader from his wallet. It is always better to have a bit of basic knowledge in the rapidly-changing game of stock investing. Paul Mladjenovic starts with a primer on Exchanged-Traded Funds, along with their rules, investment vehicles, and more.

Benjamin Graham lays the foundation of value investing upon which Warren Buffett built Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-A, BRK-B) into an internationally known and respected financial firm worth over $500 billion. The reason, say Lynch and Rothchild, is that the basics of investing—the fundamentals of our economic system and what they have to do with the stock market—aren’t taught in school. At a time when individuals have to make important decisions about saving for college and 401 retirement funds, this failure to provide a basic education in investing can have tragic consequences. For those who know what to look for, investment opportunities are everywhere. The average high school student is familiar with Nike, Reebok, McDonald’s, the Gap, and The Body Shop. Nearly every teenager in America drinks Coke or Pepsi, but only a very few own shares in either company or even understand how to buy them.
This book is fairly in-depth and it explains what different price movements mean and what your response should be. Of all the books that I’ve read on stock and chart analysis, this ranks in the top 3. It’s not some huge 500-page book (it’s like 250 pages) but it still gives you enough valuable information that you can apply right away. You probably want to read this book two or three times to fully absorb all the information. I’m not sure whether I would list this book as a beginner book or not, because it’s fairly technical but it’s full of stuff that every day trader should know, such as different charting patterns and signals.
